Captain Joe Hughes
Joe Hughes has been working in the fishing business since he was 11 years old. Starting at Gibson's Tackle at that age, Joe’s passion for the sport of fishing is steadily increased. Joe is a versatile angler who is comfortable polling a flats skiff as well as manning the helm of a large sport fisherman competing in big game tournaments. During his years as a professional fisherman, Joe has been featured in books and magazines. His main passion is for saltwater fly-fishing. A teacher by trade, he enjoys sharing his knowledge about fly-fishing, fly-tying, and fly-casting with his clients.

Sea Isle City, NJ - Montauk, NY - Islamorada, FL
I offer fishing charters year round in three different locations. My home port is Sea Isle City, NJ where I fish from March through December. I charter out of Montauk, NY in September and October. I charter in Islamorada, FL from January through April. While in Montauk or Islamorada, my clients book me for weekend trips for two-three days. Call me at 609-827-3442 to book a trip.
Sea Isle City, NJ
I fish in Sea Isle City, New Jersey from March through December. In March, April, and May we target striped bass, bluefish, and weakfish primarily in the Back Bay. As the water warms we begin to target flounder, sea bass, sharks, mahi-mahi, tuna, and marlin. In addition the local striped bass are ever present. In the fall we begin our transition to target larger migratory striped bass, bluefish, and sea bass. I offer a variety of trips for half-day and full-day from one to six passengers. 18' Scout flats boat 1-2 passengers - 4 hours $500 6 hours $650. 24' Custom Eastern CC 1-6 passengers - 4 hours $550 6 hours $800. I fish in Montauk, New York in September and October. We target striped bass, false albacore, and bluefish on light tackle. We primarily cast lures on spinning tackle or fly-fish. These are weekend trips and my clients book me for 2 or 3 days. I am happy to concierge your trip and help you in any aspect of the planning. From January through April I offer weekend trips to Islamorada, Florida in the beautiful Florida Keys. We target a variety of fish including tarpon, permit, sharks, grouper, snook, redfish, jacks, and dozens of other species. Similar to my Montauk charters, these are weekend trips and my clients book me for 2 or 3 days. I am happy to concierge your trip and help you in any aspect of the planning.
